launches a new long term project
“TALENT-COURSE”.
The aim of this project is helping teenage orphans find their purpose in life and realise their potential.
The audience: 13-18 year old orphans, those who will have to integrate into the world of grownups very soon and will have to start an independent life. ‘TALENT-COURSE’ is designed to open up the potential and the talents of orphans.
In addition a lot of attention will be paid to the following themes:

Practical applied skills;
-
Ability to apply norms of social behaviour on practice and ability to participate in social life;
-
Ability to adequately asses one’s own professional and personal growth perspectives;
-
Traditional family values and family life;
-
Healthy life style;
-
Moral and spiritual values;
-
Decision making and ability to take responsibility for one’s own decisions, ability to independently fulfil one’s life aspirations;
-
Legal basics and other transferable skills.
For successful realisation of the project we invite individuals and organisations who could assist
with any of the following:
-
organisational issues;
-
experience sharing in organising and running similar projects;
-
fundraising ;
-
preparing documents;
-
logistical issues, mainly transfer of kids from Rezekne to Riga and back – once a month;
-
catering for kids during their stay in Riga – once a month;
-
providing with venues for activities and courses in Riga (Riga district) – once a month;
-
providing with accommodation in Riga (Riga district) for 15-20 teenagers – once a month for 1-2 nights;
-
Stationery and textbooks;
-
Organising and running courses for kids – once a month;
-
Financial support of the project for ensuring sustainability of the training and attracting course leaders and teachers;
-
Establish a cooperation network with educational institutions for organising and running vocational education;
-
Organising work placements for teenagers during summer vacations;
-
Communication and public relations issues.
