On Saturday the 25th of March we have visited Ziemeļi orphanage and have arranged a real creative chaos at making a funny Easter post card.
The kids had to do a hard job – to weave a basket from strips of paper, cut out grass and colorful eggs, outline and cut to a template, glue together a rabbit by putting 7 parts in a correct order.
For adults this might seem too simple, but kids have to be neat, diligent and sometimes even acquire new skills. Not all the kids had enough patience to push the matter through and some didn’t believe that they could handle it.
We would like to thank our Team of experienced volunteers, which have managed to deal with all difficult situations they had this time.
What helped them? Certainly it was their kindness and patience towards the kids. One kid just needs to receive a praise, another needs to get encouraged, third one needs to be explained a few times, fourth needs help and the fifth may just need to be seated on the lap to get things started.
With the help of volunteers, each small participant has taken a self-made finished post card along with a sweet gift. There were 18 wonderful post cards made together.
